This project was located in the trendy suburb of Prahran, Victoria. The design of this shop interior took its inspiration from the boutique shops of Paris and was slotted nicely into what was a dilapidated Victorian terrace. The building exhibited a number of original features including plaster cornices, ceiling roses and delaminating plaster from the walls, which we ended up keeping and featuring as part of the charm of the old building.... very Melbourne!

It was essential to maintain the heritage street frontage of the shop not only for the aesthetics, but also for the requirements of the local council. Photomontage imagery helped considerably in conveying the message of respectful design and its blending with the surrounding properties.
