A little piece of Paris comes to Mosman
A gorgeous detached house in Mosman is the scene of a slow and steady transformation that is still in progress today,
The Master Bedroom and Parents Retreat is being stylised to reflect the charm of a Paris apartment, complete with french mouldings, a classic marble or limestone fireplace and European furniture in the style of Jean Royere, Norman Cherner and Maxalto. The clients art includes work my Matt Parr and Christian Thompson.
The Lounge Room has been through a rigorous design process with the final design agreed upon in the first image. A classic arm chair by Flemming Lassen is the focal point along with a genuine Serge Mouille lighting sconce. The TV is sat upon glass cabinetry inspired by furniture created by Italian design house Rimadisio.
The Office/Study (not pictured) could not be left out of the project. Not only is the space currently the client's office, it would also appear to be a receptacle for the accumulation of paperwork, as of yet un-hung artwork and quite a bit of clutter. To make the space more user friendly it has been decided to add cupboards and drawers including a long wide desk to work upon. To add depth to the space a full length mirror adorns the end wall and above the desk is a collection of framed family photographs.
I hope to be able to bring you images of the finished project sometime soon.
